The Lieksa energy storage project is located in the city of Lieksa, in the North Karelia region.

The project area is approximately 3,500 m2 and will house three (3) battery containers. The total capacity of the project is 6 megawatts (MW) with a storage capacity of 6 megawatt-hours (MWh).

Thanks to its unique location, this energy storage project will serve as an important addition to the energy infrastructure of North Karelia.

The project is currently in the planning and permitting phase, with the energy storage system expected to be connected to the grid by the summer of 2025.
