The Ruotsinkylä energy storage project  is located in the municipality of Tuusula, in the Uusimaa region, close to key electricity transmission and distribution networks. The site allows for efficient energy storage and integration into the regional energy system.

The planned energy storage system will have a total capacity of 30 megawatts (MW) and a storage capacity of 60 megawatt- hours (MWh). It will consist of individual containers with capacities ranging from 2 to 5 MWh.

The energy storage system will support grid balance, storing surplus energy during periods of low demand and releasing it when consumption peaks.

The project is currently in the planning and permitting phase, with detailed information about the location and the number of containers to be clarified as the project progresses.
